Educating and informing the public about the best practices to prevent the spread of HIV and malaria.
As of 2016, HIV/AIDS in Tanzania is prevalent among adult at 4.7%, 1.4 million people are living with the disease, and 33,000 died with the same health condition. Tanzania is also the third largest population at risk of malaria in Africa with over 90% infected population. Statistics said that 10 to 12 million people contract malaria and 80,000 die from the disease which is mostly children.
We are conducting HIV and Malaria Awareness particularly in Mwanza and the surrounding areas. Our trainers and facilitators at Sunsocer Community Development Foundation Inc. are striving to educate and inform the locals about the spread of infectious diseases.
