Sunsocer Community Development Foundation Inc. is a non-government organization founded in 2009. We are aiming at building empowered communities and strengthening them to be good in production. We focus on women, street children, orphans, disabled, and HIV/AIDS victims to identify opportunities that enable them to live enjoyable lives. To achieve this, we have chosen to concentrate our support on these three important sectors: education, health, and socio-economic development.
What We Do
- We help the marginalized sectors of the community by providing them with relevant education and information in order to affirm their rights and find ways to improve their living conditions with a specific emphasis on women, street children, orphans, disabled, and HIV/AIDS victims.
- We do research about the injustices and the fundamental reasons for these and seek for methods to help through documentation and recommendations based on established facts of rights from the prisoners, ex-prisoners, and aged people.
- We promote immediate relief measures to people suffering from disasters, such as epidemics, food, drought, and hunger.
- We provide health and nourishment in the rural areas and enhance the lives of every woman and child by providing training and integration to financial and social life.
- We collaborate with various partners to improve access to quality education among youth for both primary and secondary education.
Our Mission Statement
Our goal is to build empowered communities, provide effective means, and help individuals to have an opportunity for a better life. We do this by strengthening the capacity of the community to be good in production, represent their stakeholders, network with others for learning and knowledge sharing, and advocate for social, economic, and environmental justice.
Our Vision and Values
We envision to build lives, reach potentials, and live lightly that others may see the light. Relationships based on trust and respect, interdependence, responsible stewardship, the inclusion of vulnerable groups, and respect for local ownership and knowledge are the core values across all of our programs.
