We provide women empowerment program in Lake Zone Tanzania.

SCDF Program Summary

We at Sunsocer Community Development Foundation (SCDF) always start the work with key identified women from the informal sector. We seek to identify social challenges, educational skills, economic needs and opportunities for further support. We work with individuals and groups of women on grassroots who have the potential to become independent and achieve sustainable development in the near future. We aim to empower women with the right skills and necessary resources in their endeavors. We will also collaborate with partners for support, training, and sharing good practices. We will be holding five days conference annually on women’s economic empowerment and development. We have outlined our activities below with a diagram for an illustration.

Women Empowerment Diagram

The diagram relatively highlights key areas of the SDCF main empowerment program. It all begins by outreaches where we meet most vulnerable women in the real-life events. In the process, we get to know and connect with them easily. We build mutual relationships to win their trust while developing a meaningful partnership in seeking solutions to their problems. We encourage them to participate in the women empowerment programs at our training facility or center during which participants are well-informed, taught, and exposed to the many possible ways and means to develop themselves through short courses and training offered.

The training facility is typically set to suit and provide a safe and friendly environment for all types of women and ages. The next page outlines activities run at the Resources Centre.
